Help an Elf Application

This program is designed to assist currently enrolled, full-time 365bet students with holiday shopping by providing gifts for their children. Recipients of the holiday gifts will be children of income eligible 365bet students currently enrolled in 12 hours or more. It is restricted to students who are not participating in any off campus holiday gift programs.

Submitting an application serves as authorization for the office of Student Affairs to verify financial aid information through university records and to obtain program participation information from local agencies who have similar programs.

Our goal is to provide assistance to as many families as possible. Please note that PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO FIRST TIME PARTICIPANTS. The number of families assisted by this program is contingent on the number of groups, organizations, or departments available to adopt families. If there are not enough groups, organizations, or departments available for your family to be adopted you will be notified.
ONE APPLICATION WILL BE ACCEPTED PER FAMILY including student families where both parents are students.

All applications will remain confidential.

To be considered for this year’s Help an Elf Holiday Gift Program, your online application must be completed and submitted by
11:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 4, 2024.

You must provide your 365bet email address.
Only full-time 365bet students are eligible to apply for this program.
Participation in an off-campus gift program will make you ineligible for the Help an Elf program.
If the child listed is not living with you as your dependent, they will not be eligible for the program.
Please check each box below to authorize us to use the information provided to verify financial eligibility. The information on this application will be kept confidential and will only be used for the purposes of establishing your eligibility to participate in the Help an Elf Program.*

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION

In an attempt to assist the group/organization or department that will “adopt” your family and provide gifts for your child(ren), please use the space below to list clothing sizes and gift suggestions based on your child’s needs and interests. Please note that the adopters are advised by our office that they are not obligated to purchase any specific or brand name items and we ask that you would please be considerate in the types of items that you list as adopters have a limited budget.

To ensure confidentiality, each family is assigned a letter of the alphabet and each child in that family will be referred to by that letter and a number.  The group, organization, or department that adopts your family will purchase and wrap gifts for each individual child in the family.  We will also request that they place all the gifts in a bag with tags attached using the “elf letter/number” assigned to each child.  The group, organization, or department will also be asked to provide a list of the items purchased to hopefully reduce the chances of a gift being duplicated by the parent(s).

The gifts will be delivered to the Student Affairs office, MUC 206 and you will be notified when the gifts are ready for you to pick up.

LIST ONLY THE CHILDREN YOU CAN LEGALLY CLAIM AS DEPENDENTS AGE 17 AND YOUNGER. ALL CHILDREN LISTED BELOW MUST LIVE IN THE HOME WITH YOU.
